This month we recognize Thomas Taylor as he completes his 32nd
year of service helping troubled youth at Webster-Cantrell Hall.
Mr. Taylor has been a Child Care Supervisor at the Group Home,
Transitional Living Program, and Residential Treatment Unit.
Mr. Taylor has recently expanded his role to become the
Vocational Counselor. Mr. Taylor has done exceptional work
in connecting the residential youth to jobs within the community
and at the agency. At this time sixteen youth are working
as employees or volunteers. The vocational counseling goes
beyond the networking, as Mr. Taylor coaches, encourages, and
helps residents make the connection between behaviors, feelings,
and responsibilities. The vocational counseling provided
by Mr. Taylor will have a lasting ipact on these youth as they
become independent.
Mr. Taylor's dedication to helping youth develop into happier,
more productive citizens goes beyond his work at
Webster-Cantrell Hall. Mr. Taylor is a teaching assistant
at MacArthur High School, the Director of Earth Project with the
Easter Seals, and has worked with numerous individuals and teams
to develop athletes. Mr. Taylor is quick to flash his
friendly smile and give a hearty handshake, recognizing each
student by name.
Join Webster-Cantrell Hall in saying "thank you" to Mr. Thomas
Taylor for his dedication to building youth with strong
character. In Tommy's own words, "Bear Down." |
